SWIM COACHINGAll swimmers once assessed are classified into the following levels:
LEVEL 1 Training 1 to 2 sessions a week
All development squads consisting of junior swimmers just starting out. Emphasis on good stroke technique, starts and turns.
LEVEL 2 Training 2 to 4 sessions a week
Swimmers who have reached a higher degree of competency and skill. The class is made up of squad and club swimmers plus triathletes and masters.
LEVEL 3 Training 4 to 8 sessions a week
State/National Level Swimmers
These swimmers would be very competent in all stroke levels and be training towards some very specific goals and achievements. The class will be made up of Club Members or high level Triathletes and Masters.
Many swimmers join squad for fun and fitness but also have an option of becoming a competitive swimmer through Kevin's connection with Altona Swimming Club. Triathletes and Open Water swimmers compete regularly throughout the season and have allocated squad times, this also includes Masters swimmers.
